In 1941 the Japanese armies tightened their grip on North China as war raged in Europe. Missionary Eric Liddell and his colleagues had been forced to leave their post in rural Siaochang and seek safety in the city of Tientsin. Even there, life was growing increasingly uncertain for everyone. Eric was deeply concerned for his wife Florence, his daughters six year old Patricia and four year old Heather – and there was a baby on the way.
On this Day of Discovery, the three daughters of Eric Liddell return to China for the first time since being sent to safety in 1941, to discover God’s faithfulness to a faithful runner and missionary.
